Potenciar el Liderazgo Mejorar la Atención Ocular Reenfocar la Educación Oftálmica For achieving this the ICO’s has several programs and commitments that can be categorized in 3 groups: refocusing (enhancing) ophthalmic education; enhancing eye care; and advancing leadership.

Reenfocar la Educación Oftálmica +4,000 oftalmólogos 67 países For Enhancing Ophthalmic Education the ICO has a number of programs: it organizes the World Ophthalmology Congress, the ICO International Examinations (in 2011 over two thousand ophthalmologists in 67 countries took the exams), the Curricula for Training of residents, medical students, allied eye care personnel, the “Fellowships” or Intensive Courses, Courses for Training Residency Program Directors, Conferences for Ophthalmic Educators, an online Center for Ophthalmic Educators, an online course about teaching, and a webinars network.
