4 Aquel Aquel can also be used to refer to the distant past, as in in those days. En aquel entonces (aquellos años / aquellas semanas), había menos tiendas en el centro. Back then (in those years / in those weeks), there were fewer stores in the mall. ☺

5 Demonstrative Pronouns
Remember, you can add an accent mark to the first “e” in your demonstrative adjective to make it a demonstrative pronoun. ¿Te gusta más este collar de oro o ese collar de plata? Do you like this necklace or that necklace better? ¿Te gusta más éste o ése? Do you like this one or that one better? This works for all of the demonstrative adjectives we just learned!
