Servicios de calidad para todos Principales retos Servicios de calidad para todos 34 and 110 million people without access to safe water and sanitation (universal coverage by 2020 would require adding 95 million and 170 million people). To achieve universal coverage by 2020: US$22 billion to be invested in drinking water and US$43 billion in improved sanitation. 219 million inhabitants receive intermittent service (60%). Less than 50% are connected to sewerage. Wastewater treatment coverage less than 15%.

Tools to strengthen sector governance and utilities operational management (information). Case studies, good practices, and tools to facilitate operators’ access to capital markets and PPPs. Enhance sustainability of rural service delivery. Increase sector awareness to climate change and water security issues.
