ENGLISH 3rd. Grade 3RD. UNIT

Dear Family, For the next few weeks, our class will be studying things that happen now and things that happened long ago. We will talk about how things now are different from the way they were long ago. You can help your child learn more about now and then. Talk to your child about what you did that was different from what he or she does. You may give information about: a) How you played; b) The chores you had; c) What school was like. You can help by having your child talk about inventions that have changed his or her life. At the end of this unit, your child will work on a written workshop. Estimada familia, Durante las próximas semanas estaremos aprendiendo en clase sobre las cosas que ocurren ahora y cosas que ocurrieron en el pasado. Aprenderemos sobre cómo las cosas son ahora diferentes a cómo eran en el pasado. Pueden ayudar a su hij@ a aprender más acerca del presente y del pasado. Podrían conversar sobre las diferencias entre lo que hacía usted durante su infancia y lo que hacen ahora los jóvenes. Puede proporcionar información sobre: a) sus modos de diversión; b) cosas que usted tenía que hacer en casa; y c)cómo era la escuela. Asimismo, los estudiantes hablarán/escribirán sobre inventos que han cambiado sus vidas. Al finalizar esta unidad, su hij@ trabajará en un taller de escritura.
