INTRODUCTION Peru is a country with Mining Tradition Mining as well as agriculture and fishing is an ancestral activity that develops from the Pre-Inca, Inca, Colonial and Republican cultures. It is part of our customs and cultural and religious rites.

MINERAL RESOURCES The soil and subsoil of our territory stand out for a varied range of natural resources: minerals, hydrocarbons (gas and oil) and water (oceans, lagoons, rivers, streams). Mining is one of the main riches of Peru, the country has multiple deposits whose potential has been cataloged as the fourth largest in the world. Currently, Peru is in the Top 10 of the main mineral producing countries and produces mainly copper, gold, zinc, silver, lead, iron, tin and molybdenum. In the mining attraction index of the ranking prepared by the Fraser Institute, Peru ranked 28th worldwide and ranked first in Latin America. The National Society of Mining, Petroleum and Energy (SNMPE) revealed that the best conditions of the international prices of minerals are allowing the reactivation of investments in mineral exploration in Peru, since in the period from January to May 2017 they amounted to US $ 153 million, a figure that represents a growth of 22% compared to the same period of Our country registered US $ 373 million of investment in mining exploration and another US $ 933 million in mining exploitation in 2016.
