Ir + a + INFINITIVE We use the formula ir + a + verb/infinitive to tell what someone is going to do. (Conjugate the verb IR)

Ir + a + PLACE We use the formula: ir + a + place to tell where someone is going (location) (Conjugate the verb IR)
Ir + a + LUGAR (place) Voy a la casa. ¿Tú vas al parque? Mis amigas van a la biblioteca.
El museo The museum Ella va al museo.
El colegio/la escuela The school Nosotros vamos al colegio.
La tienda The store Ellos van a la tienda

a la Used to say ‘to the’ – Used with feminine words Ella va a la escuela. Nosotros vamos a la sinagoga.
al Is a combination of ‘a + el’ meaning ‘to the’. (Say ‘a + el’ quickly to understand why it is ‘al’) Used only with masculine words. Ella va al museo. Ud. va al parque.
