Indirect Object Pronouns Indirect vs. Direct and mixing them together. It can get confusing. Let’s look at indirect object pronouns first, and then try mixing them with direct object pronouns.

What is an indirect object? A indirect object is a person that is the recipient of a verbs action, but NOT the main subject. It answers…TO OR FOR WHOM My friend bought me that coat. Indirect Object In this sentence, the I am the one receiving the object, but, I am NOT the main subject of this sentence. The coat was bought FOR me.

We can’t have le+la, le+lo, les+lo, etc… Ok, this is where it gets tricky. Le Les Lo Los La Las Se Lo Los La Las When two pronouns that start with an L are next to each other, you replace the Le or Les with Se.
