The use of Ver Ver can be used in a similar way to the verb mirar (to watch) when paired with movies and the television. ¿Ves la televisión en casa? I see movies in the theater with my family. Do you watch television at home? Veo películas en el cine con mi familia.

The use of the Oír Oír is most commonly translated as “to hear,” but it can also be used in contexts where in English we would use “to listen” (escuchar) El estudiante no oye la lección porque sus compañeros de clase hablan mucho.
