Iniciando en el Museo Militar, originalmente cuartel el Zapote localizado a un costado de la ex casa presidencial donde podremos apreciar, desde armamento militar utilizado en la Época de la colonia hasta nuestros tiempo, uniformes utilizados por mandatarios Salvadoreños de principios de siglo hasta el Papamóvil diseñado y ensamblado en nuestro País y según los informes el mejor de su época, utilizado por el Papa Juan Pablo II en sus dos visitas al País. Después nos dirigiremos hacia el museo de Aviación localizado en el Aeropuerto de Ilopango, aquí conoceremos un poco mas de la historia de la aviación en nuestro país conociendo los diferentes aviones utilizados a través del tiempo. Initiating at the Militar Museum, originally called Cuartel el Zapote ( Barrack El Zapote), located a side of the ex- Presidential house, here we will appreciate, from military armaments used in the Colonial epoch up to our times, uniforms used by Presidents from the beginning of the century. The Popes Vehicle designed and assembled in our country and according to international reviews one of the best of its era, this one used by John Paul the II in both of his visits to the country. Our next stop is the Aviation Museum located at the Ilopango Airport, here we will learn more about the aviation history in our Country by knowing the different planes used thru the years. Nuestra primera parada es en la Puerta del diablo llamada así por una particular leyenda y porque en su forma nos hace ver una especie de puerta, un lugar donde podremos tener una vista impresionante de varios volcanes, montañas y lago de ilopango. A continuación bajaremos hasta el pueblo indígena de Panchimalco, un lugar con mucha historia y tradición, visitaremos primeramente la iglesia colonial dedicada a la Santa Cruz de Roma, veremos la puerta del diablo desde otra perspectiva, caminaremos por las coloridas calles de piedra del pueblo y visitaremos la Casa de la Cultura y la galería de arte del “Miguel Angel” salvadoreño.   In this tour we are going to “Panchimalco” a place protected by UNESCO, just below the rock formation know as “La Puerta del Diablo”. Our first stop is “La Puerta del Diablo” (Devil’s door) called that way because a particular legend and because of its shape that make us see it as some kind of door, this is a place where we will have a spectacular view of several volcanoes, mountains and Ilopango lake. Después pasaremos por el mar Negro, un campo cubierto por la lava ahora Roca volcánica expulsada por el boquerón, llegando finalmente al Parque arqueológico Joya de Cerén, la Pompeya Latinoamericana, sitio arqueológico que fue cubierto por la explosión del volcán Caldera donde tendremos la oportunidad de ver los restos de la civilización prehispánica conservados bajo cientos de años de Explosiones volcánicas.   We will visit the impressive, San Salvador volcano, the crater also known as “Boqueron” where we will enjoy of a refreshing walk through the natural paths. Único en su especie y descubrimiento protegido por la Humanidad por su importancia histórica. Nos referimos a Joya de Ceren. Un asentamiento indígena Ubicado en el valle de zapotitan cuyos vestigios son la única forma clara de entender la vida diaria de los indígenas residentes de la zona. Al finalizar en Joya de Ceren continuaremos hacia el centro ceremonial San Andres. San Andrés es uno de los centros prehispánicos más grandes de El Salvador. Esta antigua comunidad cubría un total de 200 hectáreas o más y consistía en un centro monumental rodeado por una amplia zona residencial común. Se cree que San Andrés llegó a señorear el valle de Zapotitán, y algunas zonas vecinas, como el valle de las Hamacas donde se encuentra San Salvador. Esta ciudad le ofrece ademas de arquitectura colonial la esencia de ciudad antigua, de gran imporancia para el desarrollo del añil o índigo. Aquí visitaremos la Iglesia de Santa Lucia, construida ne 1853, es uno de los principales atractivos de la ciudad por su estructura e importancia Historica. Después de visitar la ciudad y algunas de las tiendas artesanales ubicadas detro de las casas restauradas nos dirigiremos hacia el Lago Suchitlan, un lago artificial de 135 Km cuadrados, siendo esta la mayor superficie de agua en El país. Aquí daremos un paseo en lancha para observar la fauna y flora del lugar. Al terminar nuestro recorrido, disfrutaremos de un almuerzo en un agradable restaurante con vista panorámica.Finalmente regresaremos al Centro Comercial el Amate   We will visit the beautiful city of Suchitoto “Place of birds and Flowers” its name in nahuat. This city offers not only colonial architecture but the old city essence feeling, of a great historical importance for the indigo industry development. Here we will visit the church “Iglesia de Santa Lucia”, built In 1853, it is one of the main attractions of the town, because of its structure and historical importance. After visiting the town and some hand craft / Souvenir stores located in the restored houses, we will go to the Suchitlan Lake, and artificial Lake of 84 square miles, the biggest water surface in the country, here we will take a boat to different islands and do some bird watching.
