As a child, I used to live in the suburbs of Mexico city. Mis vecinos y yo trepábamos a los árboles. My neighbors and I used to climb trees.

 The imperfect is also used for:  Habitual past actions These are actions that were continuous or repeated, no specific time. De pequeña, miraba la televisión cada mañana. As a child, I watched TV every morning. Mi madre no cocinaba los viernes. My mom never cooked on Fridays.
