California Migrant Education State Speech & Debate Tournament May 2016  Last weekend over 350 Migrant Education students traveled from across California to meet in Fresno to compete in a Speech & Debate Tournament. Santa Cruz City Schools sent one student. That one student has opened the door for others to have life changing opportunities. That one student has been invited to go to Washington, D.C., to discuss public policy. Student Quote: “[The tournament] gives students a voice in their country, America” Fresno, 2016
