Let’s try some examples. Quiero _____ taco. I want ____ taco. Taco is masculine and singular. The missing word is “un”. Quiero un taco. Quiero _____ tacos. I want ____ tacos. Taco is masculine and plural. The missing word is “unos”. Quiero unos tacos. 3

Here are some examples. ¿Cuántos años tienes? How old are you? We use the form cuántos because it modifies años. Años is masculine and plural. ¿Cuántas carpetas hay? How many folders are there? We use cuántas because it modifies carpetas. Carpetas is feminine and plural. 8
