2 When we tell someone what NOT to do, we use a negative command. We have already discussed affirmative commands (camina, habla, ve, haz). The formation for NEGATIVE commands are different. Take the “yo” form of a verb, drop the “o” and add “es” for “ar” verbs and “as” for “er” verbs. Hablar – hablo – habl - hables

3 Negative tú commands- ejemplos caminar – camino – camin – camines no camines aquí! usar – uso - us – uses no uses mi toalla! poner – pongo – pong – pongas no pongas la toalla sucia en tu cama!
