6 How to conjugate Conjugate: Change an infinitive based upon who is doing the action. Infinitive: The verb before it is conjugated. It still ends in the letters -ar, -er, or -ir.

7 Step 1: First you must find the... Stem

8 How do you find the stem? Drop the last two letters of the infinitive. Any remaining letters are the STEM. Example: hablar Stem

9 Step 2 You will add an ending after the stem based upon: what pronoun you are using (Who’s doing the action?) what category of verb it is (-AR, -ER, - IR).

10 Pronouns Yo (I) Nosotros/Nosotras Tú (You- informal ) Él/Ella/Usted Ellos/Ellas/Ustedes (They/They- females only / Y ou All) (He/She/You- formal ) (We/We- females only)
