MotionComposer - La búsqueda de un mapeado musical coherente
Robert Wechsler Valladolid, mayo 2012 the coh. i am speaking of is psychological one. i.e. there are many technical posssibilities today to turn body movt into sound or sound modulations. what this workshop concerns is about is how to choose. what about the movt. changes what about the sound. this stupid-sounding question is the key. my approach to this issue is based on my experiences as a dancer and choreographer. this presentation can be downloaded at:

Parte 3: Motion Tracking
when to show which vids
17
Motion Capture vs. Motion Tracking
18
Sensores de Motion Tracking
Sensores corporales Sensores espaciales kinds of sensors, kinds of processing, kinds of output
19
Sensores de Motion Tracking
Sensores corporales body-worn electrodes EEG ECG EMG Touching joint bend-sensors accelerometers, other body-worn devices Sensores espaciales Cámaras de vídeo (ej. EyeCon) Cámaras infrarrojas Sensores en el suelo, en la pared, etc kinds of sensors, kinds of processing, kinds of output most are not very useful in terms of interaction

Danza + Música = ? it is a synaesthetic experience. involves a combination , overlapping of sense. they build something together that is greater than each separately. this is their real power. this is what we are after. i.e. humans and a unique , and deep rooted ability – Trieb – desire, to move to music. to correlate movement and music.

¿Qué es el mapeado? Danza Música
its nota technical task – its a huan one. it concerns human percpetion and human feelingsl . this means we have to think ina new way about and and in a new way about technology.

Número de mapeados (M) = Número de parámetros Input (I) x Número de relaciones (R) x Número de parámetros Output (O) M = I x R x O

¿Qué es el mapeado? Ofrece cientos de posibilidades.
Casi todas las aplicaciones son inteligibles. Solo unas pocas son intuitivas.
