This short presentation is not designed for use with a church audience; it is purely to help a decision-making group understand what IE Day is, and whether to hold an IE Day focus themselves. The IE Day site offers a longer editable PowerPoint and other downloadable resources to use within the actual focus day presentation. The notes for each slide are purely a suggestion of the comments that the presenter would probably wish to include. This PowerPoint set can be easily edited or personalized for your own needs – with extra slides, graphics and wording. If you have not previously used PowerPoint, there are easy options to add, delete, or drag/drop slides to rearrange their order. Make sure to practise the presentation, and know which elements appear automatically, and which items (mainly bullet points) appear one by one with a click.

It covers the different strategies that can be used for online outreach - both in terms of making effective websites, as well as personal witness options such as chat room evangelism. It showcases some effective websites, and includes testimonies of those who became Christians through online outreach. IE Day also focuses on ways that a church website can become an effective means of outreach to the community.

The IE Day site explains how to create a ‘do-it-yourself’ customized presentation slot within our own activities. This could be a slot within a service, an after-church meeting, or homegroups. An alternative is to create a special one-off seminar - we could even invite other churches or groups to join us.

First, we can view the downloadable resources from the IE Day site. The PowerPoint presentation contains over 50 slides, but can be edited down to any number that will suit our purposes. We should allow almost a minute for our commentary accompanying each slide. There are two main testimony video clips, five minutes each, of those young women who found God online. We can project either or both. In addition, there are other short video clips we might use. There are several short drama scripts available. Two relate directly to web evangelism, and others are a general challenge about doing evangelism. Several music MP3s can be downloaded to use within a presentation if we need them.
