4 4 Advanced Placement Defined  A university level freshman course that you take in high school.  There is a national exam at the end of the course. It is the same exam for all students in America.  Score on the exam is 1-5 with 5 being the best.  With a score of 3 or higher you can earn college credit while still in high school  This allows YOU to compete for College Admission with students from all over the country.

14 14 Saturday Sessions  3 Saturdays per content area (1 is AP test)  With our cohort: Saugus, Chelsea, and Malden  Review of content and opportunity to dig deeper into material  Taught by experienced AP teachers  Highly attended by other MMSI schools  Encouraged by MHS, staff, and MIE  We are currently developing Saturday Study Sessions for Social Studies and Global Language

15 15 What’s to come in AP at MHS Development of our own AP initiative to include all AP courses Develop goals for Social Studies and Global Languages that mirror MMSI goals Explore additional support for students and continued training for staff We are awaiting our official Invitation to AP Capstone for ‘16-’17 3 year course driven by research will count for as much 1 semester of college credit
