2 REMEMBER A Direct Object Pronoun (DOP) replaces the “thing”. The subject and verb will not change. The DOP comes BEFORE the conjugated verb or slapped onto the infinitive verb.

3 What is a DOP? A Direct Object Pronoun literally means “it”. It takes the place of the object so that you don’t have to keep repeating yourself.

5 English Example The cat eats the pizza. Subject Verb Object Th The cat eats it. Subject Verb DOP

6 Spanish Example El gato juega el piano. Subject Verb Object Th El gato lo juega. Subject Verb DOP
