2 Estar Estar= to be Used with location (place) and feelings
You can easily remember this with the following rhyme: How you feel and where you are, always use the verb estar!

4 Estar: Expressing location
I am in Spanish class. You are in the library. He is in the gymnasium. We are in the auditorium. Yo estoy en la clase de español. Tú estás en la biblioteca. Él está en el gimnasio. Estamos en el auditorio.

5 Estar: Expressing Feelings
How are you today? I (girl) am tired. He is angry. We are nervous. They (boys) are busy. ¿Como estás hoy? Estoy cansada. Él está enojado. Estamos nerviosos. Están ocupados.

6 Prepositions Prepositions are words that normally express the location of something. We have many prepositions in English. Up, down, above, beyond, at, in, and on are just some of the prepositions that we have in English.

7 Prepositions In Spanish, you can remember some of the prepositions by remembering this rhyme: Izquierda, derecha, Delante, detrás, Cerca y lejos, Y algo mas. Arriba, abajo Enfrente, encima İY ahora muchachos, Se acaba la rima!

Cerca de= close to Arriba (arriba de)= up, above Enfrente= in front of A la derecha= to the right Detrás de= behind Lejos de= far from Abajo (debajo de)=beneath Encima de= on top of
