10 Reglas Especiales con Pensar (Special Rules with Pensar) n When followed immediately by an infinitive (verb), pensar indicates what someone plans or intends to do. n Pienso ir a Venezuela (I plan to go to Venezuela) n ¿Cuándo piensas ir? (When do you intend to go)

11 Reglas especiales con pensar (Special Rules with Pensar) n When combined with de, pensar is used to ask for an opinion. Use pensar followed by que to express your opinion or thoughts. n ¿Qué piensas de los platos nuevos? (What do you think of the new plates) n Pienso que son bonitos. (I think they are pretty)

12 Reglas Especiales con Pensar (Special Rules with Pensar) n Pensar may be combined with en to indicate whom or what someone is thinking about. n ¿En qué piensas? (What are you thinking about) n Pienso en mi tarea de español. (I am thinking about my Spanish homework)

13 QUERER and PENSAR n When forms of QUERER and PENSAR are followed by another verb, the second verb is always in the infinitive.

15 Preferir (to prefer) n Preferir is conjugated the same way as Querer and Pensar, however it is an -ir verb. n Use the endings o, es, e, imos, ís, en

17 Preferir (to prefer) yo prefiero tú prefieres él ella prefiere Ud. nosotros preferimos (NO CHANGE) vosotros preferís ellos ellas prefieren Uds.
