5 Indirect Object Pronouns
Indirect object pronouns tell to or for whom the action is being done.

6 Indirect Object Pronouns
They mean the same thing in English as do the direct object pronouns, only they add the words “to" or "for”. For example, “to you," "for me," etc.

(to/for) me (to/for) you (to/for) him, her, it (to/for) us (to/for) them

8 Indirect Object Pronouns (Spanish)
me (to/for me) te (to/for you) le (to/for him, her, it) nos (to/for us) les (to/for them, you (all))

9 Placement of Indirect Object Pronouns
Indirect Object Pronouns, me, te, le, nos, os, and les are placed either before a conjugated verb or attached to the end of an infinitive or a present participle. Sometimes you can use a + Ud./él/ella or a noun to clarify to whom the indirect pronouns le and les refer.

10 Before the Conjugated Verb:
El mesero le da un café a ella. ¿Quién les compra la comida a ustedes? La mesera le trae el menú al cliente.

11 Before the conjugated verb or after the infinitive:
Le tengo que dar comida a mi perro. After the infinitive: Tengo que darle comida a mi perro.

12 Before the conjugated verb or attached to a participle:
Les estoy cocinando las verduras. Attached to a participle: Estoy cocinándoles las verduras.

Los clientes le hacen preguntas al mesero sobre el menú. El mesero les describe los platos a los clientes. El mesero les pregunta a los clientes qué quieren beber. Los clientes le dicen al mesero qué quieren. El mesero les sirve la comida a los clientes. Los clientes le piden la cuenta al mesero. El mesero les trae la cuenta a los clientes. Los clientes le dan dinero al mesero. Los clientes le dan propina al mesero.
