The PT2060 is one of Predictech’s Flagship products. It offers the industries highest density of channels per standard 19” rack. The PT2060 is highly reliable: Each channel can achieve triple redundancy ( 2 out of 3 voting) Redundant Power supply, Modbus Communications and Outputs Full API 670 Compliance- this was achieved because of the redundancy which is built into the PT The PT2060 is built like a Distributive Control System (DCS)- it does not have a single point of failure. Everything is redundant, including the internal communication bus which is physically built into the 19” rack. Ideal for Retrofit Applications-Direct replacement for Bently 7200 and 3300 Series Racks. Same footprint size as the Bently Racks with more functionality. Ideal for OEM applications Compatible with most sensors and probes ( regardless of manufacturer) 4) Flexible to meet all requirements- Fully Digital. The benefits of being digital include- having to stock fewer spare parts. The PT2060 has modules that can do multiple task. Example is the PT2060/10 Prox module does Radial Shaft Vibration, Axial Thrust Position, Rotation Speed, Differential Expansion Eccentricity and Low Frequency Oscillation. Being Digital enables the end-user to program the specific options which are required. This also includes on the logic for the relay outputs. 5) Optional Local Panel Touch Display- Should you require local display this option is available. 6) Integrated Condition Monitoring Functions- This is a new module that is about to be released by Predictech that analyzes the dynamic signal for selected channels. 4) Módulos de Procesamiento de señales PT2060/?? 1) PT2060/99 System Rack- Standard 19” Rack 2) PT2060/90 Módulos de Alimentación So how do you design a PT2060 system: 1st Step is you need to select: PT2060/99 System Rack, which is standard 19” rack, same footprint as Bently (Easy for retrofits). The PT2060/99 contains 16 slots. The (1) first oversized slot (starting on the right hand side) are designated for the power supply modules. The 2nd slot is designated for the PT2060/91 SIM Module. The remaining slots (14) slots can be used for communication and the signal processing and relay modules. The PT2060/99 system rack has redundant communication bus built into the rack (one of the many factors that make the PT2060 so reliable and API compliant). PT2060/90 are the power supply modules. The are ½ height size and take up 1 slot. If you need redundancy you need to order (2). Next step is to order the PT2060/91 SIM Module (System Interface Module). This module is used to connect to the Computer with (Configuration software) or network other PT2060 racks together via Modbus. There is also additional communication modules that are available and can be added to the system (I will discuss in further detail later). Then you need to select the Signal Processing Modules you require (Next slide goes into more details on them). But they typically have (4) channels per module, on the front there are (4) BNC connectors, for you to access the buffered output. You will also notice- 3 LEDs that display different status of the channels. OK- LED, Alarm LED, and Alarm- inhibit LED. You then may require Relay output modules. These come in (2) flavors redundant/ non redundant. (16) channels and (16) SPDT relays or (8) channels and (8) DPDT for the redundant relay. And then finally you need to buy the PT2060/CFG System Configuration Software. This needs to be on computer ( with Windows XP or Windows 2000 Operating Systems). The computer is connected via Modbus either RS232 (50 ft max distance) or RS485 to the PT2060/91 SIM module. 5) PT2060/?? You simply connect via modbus (typically RS485) to the Computer and the PT2060/91 SIM module (located in slot #2). Modbus is also how you can connect numerous PT2060 monitors together. You can also send the data from the PT2060 to a PLC or DCS via Modbus. The other information on this page is what does the Configuration look like and do. Over in the left corner is screen capture of the Configuration Software. With CFG Software you can do System, Module and Channel Configuration, as well as Some Reporting. This is an opening screen shot of the PT2060/CFG software. First Step is establish communication (make certain you are connected correctly) and Upload the module locations. The PT2060 automatically recognizes location of the modules. Once you have uploaded you can configure the Signal Processing Modules (This is shown in the next slide) Then you configure the relays with PLC Like Boolean Logic. (this is shown in a few slides) Save your configuration for the PT This is saved on your computer. Should your rack every have a problem or you want to use the configuration on another rack, you can simply download the saved configuration, for quick turn around time. This is very very easy to use. Very Intuitive. Note: There are (3) Alarm classes – Danger, Alert and Not OK. In this example I have used all (3). Again the DTM works with any sensor or proximity probe combination. The DTM is digital and can be programmed which allows you to set the parameters you need. Huge saving on spare parts. Also call it life saver- if you have a problem the DTM being diverse- Transmitter, Switch or Monitor can step in and provide a solution. The DTM has the built in redundancy to maximize uptime The DTM can be networked together to save on wiring cost here are just a few reminders on the DTM. Just think of the DTM as a swiss army knife--- it works with ANY Probe, any extension cable, with or without a probe driver, and any case mounted sensor. ANY sensor… so you take the DTM with you and it does anything.
