Before we start……. Affirmative- positive (as opposed to negative)
Tú command- to be used when talking to friends and family only!

To tell a person to do something, use an affirmative tú command
EX: Walk! EX: Eat! EX: Turn! EX: Read! EX: Open it! EX: Write!

To construct the tú commands follow this rule……
RULE: Use the éL/ella form of the present tense verb. I know it is called a “Tú command” but you have to use the éL/ella form of the verb!!!!

Ex: Walk! So you would say: ¡Camina!-Walk!
How does it work???? Ex: Walk! So you would say: ¡Camina!-Walk! yo camino nosotros caminamos tú caminas Vosotros camináis él/ella/Ud. camina Ellos/ellas/Uds. caminan

Ex: Eat! So you would say: ¡come!-eat!
Another example Ex: Eat! So you would say: ¡come!-eat! yo como nosotros comemos tú comes Vosotros coméis él/ella/Ud. come Ellos/ellas/Uds. comen

Using the tú commands with a D.O.P.
Ex: CROSS it! (la calle) So you would say: ¡crúzala!-cross it! yo cruzo nosotros cruzamos tú cruzas Vosotros cruzáis él/ella/Ud. cruza Ellos/ellas/Uds. cruzan

Now you try!! Run! Write! Read! Listen to her! Drive it! (la moto)
Open it! (el libro) Play it! (el tenis)

Now you try!! Corre! Escribe! Lee! EscÚchala! manÉjala! (la moto)
