INFINITIVO (INFINITIVE) The basic form of a verb (action word) undefined by a subject or tense (in Spanish, these end in -ar, -er, and -ir) escribir = to write levantar = to lift abrir = to open sacar = to take out necesitar = to need ser = to be (permanent; names, characteristics, etc.) estar = to be (temporary; feelings, location, etc.) *The –ar/-er/-ir is like the “to ___” part in an infinitive in English! She writes and I like to read.

8 Las farsas de actividades – “Charades”
Work in groups of four. Each group needs one of the vocab. lists (p. 46 from the book). 2. Each person takes a turn. He/she picks one of the activities to act out. The other players ask him/her questions – taking a guess – ex. “¿Bailar?” (To dance?) The actor responds with either: “Sí, bailar” or “No, no bailar” 5. The round ends when the correct activity is guessed. Switch players.
