 There are 4 types of stem-changing verbs: E  IE O  UE E  Io_ue U  UE

 Good News: use REGULAR VERB endings.  Bad News: There is no way to tell if a verb is a stem-changer. You have to memorize which verbs change and what changes occur for each.  Good news: There are very few verbs that are stem-changing
