WHEN YOU WANT TO SAY THAT AN ACTION IS HAPPENING NOW USE THE PRESENT PROGRESSIVE To form the Present Progressive you need: the present tense of estar + the present participle

ESTAR = TO BE estoy estás estáis estamos está están

F ORMING THE P RESENT PARTICIPLE To form the present participle of a verb, drop the ending of the infinitive and add –ando or –iendo.

FOR – AR VERBS Remove the –ar ending and add –ando. esperar (to wait) esperando Forming the present participle.

FOR – ER / IR VERBS Remove the –er/ir ending and add –iendo. comer to eat comiendo escribir to write escribiendo Forming the present participle.
