Imperfect: To describe something or someone. Mi primo era atlético. (bajo, rubio, moreno, gordo, flaco…) ¡Era super inteligente!

Imperfect: To describe something or someone. El edificio era alto. Su novia era bonita y rica.

Imperfect (con’t.) To talk about how someone was feeling or their emotional state of being Pablo estaba enfermo.Jason estaba muy triste.

Imperfect (con’t.) To describe the weather: Hacía frío Hacía calor y buen tiempo. Llovía. Hacía mal tiempo.

OJO: TENER = “to have” but it is used to tell a person’s age! Tengo 16 años = I am 16 years old Imperfect (con.’t.)-To tell someone’s age in the past “El tenía 15 años” = (He had 15 years) = “He was 15 years old”

Imperfect - age Cuando mi abuela tenía cuatro años era linda, baja y rica. (When my grandma was 4 yrs. Old she was cute, short and wealthy.) Cuando tenía cuatro años, vivía en Italia. (When she was four she lived in Italy)
