 Irregular present progressive  Of course, there are always irregulars  If the verb has two vowels in a row, and end in –ir or –er, they will have a spell change  The –iendo turns into - yendo  Eg.  Creer  Creyendo  Caer  Cayendo  Oir  Oyendo  Leer  Leyendo

 More irregular present progressive  If the verb is stem- changing, and ends in –ir, it will be irregular.  You will keep the stem- change, but get rid of the “e” that is part of the stem-change.  Eg.  Dormir = duermo  Duermiendo NO!!  Drop the ‘e’  Durmiendo Sí!!  Servir = sirvo  Sirviendo Sí!!  There is no ‘e’ in this stem- change  Sentir = siento  Sientiendo NO!!  Drop the ‘e’  Sintiendo Sí!!
