 The autonomous community of Madrid is one of the most visited destinations in Spain, not only because of business and the offer of cinema, theatre and museums in the city, but for the attractive of other places like Aranjuez and El Escorial (Royal places), sky resorts like Navacerrada (70 km of Madrid) and La Pinilla (112 Km of Madrid). Nice villages in Madrid like Chinchón (45 Km), Patones (70 Km), Rascafría (98 km) where you can go, visit the village, have lunch in a typical restaurant and go back to Madrid. And we cannot forget some towns full of culture like Alcalá de Henares (35 km).

The main reasons for visitng Madrid (both Spanish and foreign tourist) are: 1) Holidays 2) Business 3) Family 4) Studies And a small percentage for other reasons. For international flights, Barajas airport is the most visited one in Spain. Spanish people arrive in Madrid by plane (from the islands) and High Speed Train (AVE) from long distances (Barclona, Andalusia,…) and by car from closer places (highways from Toledo, Extremadura, Castilla León,…)
