E is for Early Release 12:30 P.M. The dates are October 9th, November 3 rd, 4 th, February 12 th, 23 rd and 24 th. Guided Reading Consists of whole group reading instruction, small guided reading instruction with different ability groups, and differentiated center activities to meet all ability levels. Working With Words (PHONICS/SPELLING/HANDWRI TING) Consists of whole language and phonics instruction while incorporating handwriting skills. Writing Workshop Consists of 10 minute mini-lesson, independent writing time, and share time. Instruction also incorporates handwriting skills.

G is for Grades NEISD website, to go “Parents”, click “More Links”, click “Grading and Reporting.” Number grades are given for Reading, Language Arts, Science, math and Social Studies. Homework should be done neatly and in pencil. Please sit with your child and encourage good habits such as proper spacing, neat handwriting, correct letter and number formation.
