Tú habla (You talk) Tú no hables (You don’t talk) Ud. hable (You-formal talk) Uds hablen (You all talk)

Mandatos y Reflexivos The reflexive pronouns must be attached to the end of an affirmative command and placed in front of a negative command. If you attach even one pronoun to the end of the command form, you must add an accent mark to maintain the correct stress. The written accent mark must be added to the next (second) to the last syllable before you attach any pronoun.

Mandatos de nosotros include the speaker in the command.

Let’s drink some lemonade.  Bebamos una limonada. Let’s dance.  Bailemos. Let’s return the books.  Devolvamos los libros. Let’s not die.  No muramos.

-car  quemos(Busquemos) -gar  guemos(Lleguemos) -zar  cemos(Empecemos)

Los Reflexivos (verbos que terminan en –se) 1.Write the nosotros command  Cepillemos (let’s brush) 2.Add the reflexive pronoun ‘nos’ to the end  Cepillemosnos 3.Drop the first ‘s’ from the command  Cepillemonos 4.Add an accent on the vowel before the ‘m’ 5.  Cepillémonos *Regla-drop ‘s’ and add ‘monos’—monkeys!

Práctica… Let’s play.  Juguemos. Let’s go to bed.  Acostémonos. Let’s get dressed.*  Vistámonos. Let’s shower.  Duchémonos.

IR IR is the only weirdo that doesn’t follow the rule. Instead, it takes it’s own nosotros command that you’ve all already heard… ¡Vámonos!

Pronombres When adding a pronoun to a nosotros command, you simply place it at the end of the command with an accent on the naturally stressed syllable of the verb. (second to last in most cases) ☆ Let’s do it! = ¡Hagámoslo! (el baile) Let’s eat it (the apple).  Comámosla. Let’s write a letter to her.  Escribámosela. (notice no double “s”)
