Presente Progresivo Español 2

¿Qué es? Present progressive is like saying “ -ing ” in English. It describes actions that are currently happening.  I am read ing.  You are talk ing.  They are travel ing.

¿Cómo lo formamos? Step 1 – Correct form of estar Step 2 – Add the participle  The participle is the verb you are expressing in the following form:  AR endings become –ando  ER/IR endings become –iendo InfinitiveHablarComerHacerSalir Participlehablandocomiendohaciendosaliendo

¿Cómo lo formamos? So when we put the two steps together, present progressive will look like this:  Yo estoy hablando.  Ella está comiendo.  Ellos están llegando.

¡Cuidado! There are some irregular participles:  leer becomes _______________________  traer becomes ______________________

Practicamos: Change the simple present tense verbs into present progressive: 1. Yo llego. 2. Tú sales. 3. Nosotros hacemos un viaje. 4. Ellas compran. 5. Usted habla. Yo estoy llegando. Tú estás saliendo. Estamos haciendo un viaje. Ellas están comprando. Usted está hablando.
