You have already learned how to conjugate –ar verbs. You will now learn to conjugate –er and –ir verbs. Verbs that have infinitives ending in “er” are –er verbs, and verbs that have infinitives ending in “ir” are –ir verbs.

Remember when you are conjugating (changing the verb), you remove the ending from the infinitive to get the verb’s stem. Then you add the new ending.

Note that all forms of –er and – ir verbs are the same except the nosotros and vosotros forms.
Yo vivo en Colorado y mi amigo Alonso vive en Colorado también. Nosotros asisitimos a la misma escuela. Nosotros aprendemos mucho. Nosotros comemos el almuerzo en la cafetería. Alonso come ensaladas y yo como bocadillos. Después de las clases vamos a un café. Yo leo el menú y doy la orden al mesero. El mesero escribe la orden.
