 Like CONOCER and HACER, the verb OÍR (to hear) has an irregular “yo” form in the present tense.  Some of its forms also require a stem change where the i becomes a y.  Note that both the nosotros(as) and vosotros(as) forms have accents, not just the vosotros(as) form.

Yo oigo nosotros oímos Tú oyes vosotros oís Él oye Ellos oyen  You may hear the expression ¡Oye! used throughout the dialog. It is used to get someone’s attention, the way Hey! is used in English.  To get Isabel’s attention, Ricardo might say: -- ¡Oye, Isabel! Or, Hey, Isabel!
