Noun Adjective Agreement!!!

Noun Adjective agreement The very first rule: Almost every time the adjective comes after the noun in Spanish. i.e. pelo negro (black hair). El hombre simpático. (the nice man).

Noun Adjective agreement In Spanish, the adjectives have to match the gender and number of the nouns that they describe. El chico alto Los chicos altos La chica alta las chicas altas

Noun Adjective agreement Adjectives that end with an “o” are usually masculine and adjectives that end with an “a” are usually feminine. Adjectives that end with an “e” match both genders (inteligente). Many adjectives that end with a consonant match both genders (joven)

Noun Adjective agreement Some adjectives that end with a consonant add a “A” to form the femminine singular (trabajador – trabajadora). To make a adjective plural, just add and ‘s” if the word ends with a vowel and an “es” if it ends with a consonant.
