4 4 To make a noun or adjective plural... If it ends in a vowel, add –s to make it plural. –Chico  Chicos If it ends in a consonant, add –es to make it plural. –Gris  Grises If it ends in a –z, change the z to a c and add –es. –Lápiz  Lapices –Luz  Luces (lights) –Pez  Peces (fish)
