Cultura: Pura Vida A frequent theme of the artist Adrian Gomez are children and swings. These paintings reflect the essence of “pura vida”, a popular phrase in Costa Rica. The phrase expresses the identity of the Costa Ricans: their optimism, tranquility and happiness in life. They say “pura vida” to greet friends, give thanks and respond by saying “¿Cómo estás?”.

Cultura: La naturaleza de Costa Rica Costa Rica is a small country, but the variety of flora and fauna is enormous. There are many gardens and reserves where you can observe species native to the country. In El Jardín de Cataratas La Paz you can walk among butterflies in a large observatory. The most famous species in Costa Rica is the “morpho azul” with its special color. This park also has a hummingbird garden, a garden of orchids, five waterfalls and many tropical plants.
