Imperfect The imperfect tense is used to talk about past events. It tells what one used to do, how things used to be, or what happened in general. De niño, me fascinaban los rompecabezas. When I was a boy, puzzles used to fascinate me. En la escuela primaria, las niñas jugaban al fútbol cada día. In elementary school, the girls would play soccer every day.

Imperfect The imperfect tense is used to talk about past events. It tells what one used to do, how things used to be, or what happened in general. En esos días, teníamos más tiempo libre. Back in those days, we had more free time.

Imperfect The verb endings in the imperfect are: -ar verbs -er/-ir verbs -aba -ábamos -ía -íamos -abas -abais -ías -íais -aba -aban -ía -ían
