English vs. Spanish For English, a sentence is constructed by “liking” a direct object, as for Spanish, that does not happen. Example: “I like the room” [English] The room is pleasing to me [Spanish]

For example: (singular) Me gusta el libro [I like the book] Te gusta el libro [you like the book] Nos gusta el libro [we like the book]

(plural) When plural: el is changed to los la is changed to las gusta changes to gustan Examples: Me gustan los libros [I like the books] Te gustan los libros [you like the books] Nos gustan los libros [we like the books]

Dislikes: To make your statement negative, put a “no” in front of the indirect object pronoun (me) Example: No me gustan los libros (I don’t like the books) No me gustan nada los libros No me gusta correr ni dibujar. No me gusta correr tampoco.
