No está aquí, sino que ha resucitado, Lucas 24:6 He is not here, but is risen! Luke 24:6

Luc 24:1, El primer día de la semana. Por eso, nos reunimos el primer día. Hech. 2, iglesia establecida; Hech 20:7, Cena del Señor; 1 Cor. 16:2, Ofrenda. Luke 24:1, The first day of the week. There- fore we assemble on the first day. Acts 2, church established; Acts 20:7, Lord’s Supper; 1 Cor. 16:2, Contribution.

Luke 24:1, Pious women brought aromatic spices. Lk 23:56, no time to do it on Friday; now there is; Mk 16:1 “to anoint Him”; much love and devotion, but little faith.

“¿Quién nos removerá la piedra?” Preocu- padas por problemas que no existen. Luc 24:2, “hallaron removida la piedra del sepulcro”. “Who will roll away the stone?” Worried about problems that do not exist. Lk 24:2, “they found the stone rolled away from the tomb.”

Luke 24:5, What do you seek the living among the dead? Acts 2:24, “It was not possible that He should be held” by death.

They found an empty tomb. Lk 24:3, “they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus.” How do we explain the empty tomb?

¿Que Jesús no estaba muerto? ¿Sólo desmayado? Azotado, clavado manos y pies, costado abierto con lanza; Jn 19:35, Juan, testigo ocular. Sepultado por José y Nicodemo (del Concilio). That Jesus was not dead? Had only fainted? Scourged, nailed hands and feet, side opened with spear; Jn. 19:35 John, an eye witness. Buried by Joseph and Nicodemus (from Council).

The apostles stole the body? Matt 27: Jews avoided that: tomb sealed and Roman soldiers guarded it.

¿Con qué propósito lo hubieran robado? ¿Qué harían con un cuerpo muerto? Si decián “resucitó”, ¿dónde está? For what purpose would they have stolen the body? What would they do with a dead body? If they said “He arose,” where is He?

El testimonio de los guardas. Mat 28:4, 11. The testimony of the guards. Matt 28:4, 11. What did they report? About the earthquake and of the angel that removed the stone; “all the things that had happened.”

Reportaron lo que pasó cuando estaban dormidos. Mat 28: ¿Es aceptable tal testimonio? Reported what happened while they were asleep. Matt. 28: Is such testimony acceptable?

Therefore, not only the disciples, but also the Romans and Jews were well informed of the empty tomb.

¿Los judíos quitaron el cuerpo? Recuerde Mat 27:62-62, lo querían en el sepulcro. ¿Con qué propósito lo hubieran quitado? ¿Sin la ayuda de los soldados? The Jews removed the body? Remember Matt 27:62-66, they wanted Him in the tomb. For what purpose would they have removed Him? Without the help of the soldiers?

Was the resurrection of Jesus a mere hallucination (imagination) of the apostles? They all had the same hallucination? For 40 days?

The apostles were very credulous? They wanted the resurrection so much that they were convinced of a lie?

Luc 24:21 Lk 24:11, “their words seemed to them like idle tales.”They were credulous? They wanted to believe that Christ arose? All to the contrary. They believed that it was a lost cause. Lk 24:21.

Recuerde a Tomás. Remember Thomas. Jn. 20:24-28, “Unless I see in His hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and put my hand into His side, I will not believe.”

But instead of this damaging their testimony it helps it. Confused and timid, yes, but they were humble sincere men, of good and noble character. Of this there was never any doubt.

Resucitado, les apareció por 40 días.1 Cor. 15:5-6;Hch 10:41 Is their testimonio competent? With Him for more than three years, day and night, heard Him, saw His miracles … Resurrected, He appeared to them for 40 days. 1 Cor. 15:5, 6; Acts 10:41

Acts 1:9, “while they watched, He was taken up and a cloud received Him out of their sight.” They were witnesses of His ascension, heard the promise that He will return, v. 11.

Hech. 3:6, “No tengo plata ni oro”. Many propagate lies for material gain. But what did the apostles gain? Did they get rich? Acts 3:6, “Silver and gold I do not have.”

1 Cor. 15:19. Pero nunca se retractaron de su testimonio. Apostles gave their lives for a lie? How can we explain their being scourged, imprisoned and killed for their testimony? 1 Cor. 15:19. But they never retracted their testimony.

Acts 2:32, “This Jesus God has raised up, of which we are all witnesses.” Therefore, v. 36, He is Lord and Christ.

This was the central theme of the preaching of the apostles, throughout Acts of Apostles … It is our hope!
