BIOGRAPHY He was born in Barcelona on July 26th of 1947. He is a Catalan writer. He began writing when he was 8 years old. At 12, he wrote his first novel of 500 pages.
BIOGRAPHY He is known for his work of children literature. He writes literature in Spanish or in Catalan. He’s translated into 25 languages. He has sold millions of books.
BIOGRAPHY He has received literature awards (Vaixell de vapor, Columna Jove…). Jordi Serra studied pop and rock music. In 1970 he left his studies. He worked as a music critic. He participated creating music magazines.
FOUNDATION Recently, he has created a foundation. The objective is to promote literature creation between teenagers. The foundation is located in Colombia.
AWARDS In 2007, he received the National Award of children and teenager literature, that is given by the Spanish Culture Minister for his novel “Kafka y la muñeca viajera” ( Kafka and the travelling doll).

DONDE ESTÉ MI CORAZÓN (Wherever my heart is) It was written in 1998. It’s about a girl, Montse, that had a heart problem. She began a relationship with a boy, whose ex girlfriend died and donated her heart to Montse. At the end they finished together.
“ KAFKA Y LA MUÑECA VIAJERA” (Kafka and the travelling doll) It was written in 2006 It’s about a girl that lost her doll and a man told her that the doll wasn’t lost that it was travelling. Finally the girl never got her doll back.
LITERATURE AWARDS 1996: Quim award of youth literature, for concert in “sol major”. 2005: Fiter i Rosell award for “Sinnaia”. 2007: National award of youth and children literature for “Kafka y la muñeca viajera” (Kafka and the travelling doll). 2011: Barcanova award, for “L’estrany”.
