Práctica: Perfect tenses
Son las 3… Given what you know about how the future tense works and how the perfect tenses work, try translating these sentences (you might need some of the vocab from your vocab sheet): I will have swept the floor. Yo habré barrido el suelo. Within 5 years the designer will have bought a new computer. Dentro de cinco años el diseñador habrá comprado una computadora nueva.
Future perfect: This works exactly the same way as the perfect tenses we’ve already covered (haber + past participle). Just as the past perfect requires a past conjugation for haber and the present perfect requires a present conjugation of haber, the future perfect will use the future conjugations of haber. Don’t forget that haber is one of our irregular verbs in the future! Examples: Yo habré completado/terminado la tarea. Tú habrás comido.
Bucket list: Use the future perfect to add 3 new items to your bucket list starting with the following phrases (one bucket list item per phrase) Dentro de cinco años… Dentro de diez años… Dentro de veinte años…
Bucket list: Exchange bucket lists with a friend. Write at least one sentence in Spanish in response to each bucket list item sharing if that is something you have already done, something you will do, or if that is something you don’t want to do. Ejemplo: Here are 3 ways different people might respond to the bucket list item below. “Yo comeré una iguana.” Sra. Crossett: “Ya he comido una iguana.” David: “Es interesante para ti pero yo no quiero comerla.” Sophie: “Yo quiero comer todo. Comeré una iguana en el futuro también.”
Tarea: Finish the sentences in response to a friend’s bucket list. Practice the irregular future roots on Quizlet for 5 minutes.
