Los adverbios

Adverbs (p. 40 in the textbook) An adverb describes how, when, and where actions take place. They can modify verbs, adjectives, or other adverbs.  Ejemplos: Aquí, ayer, bien, hoy, mal, muy, nunca, siempre, temprano

Adverbs: What are some examples in English? Slowly, surely, wonderfully, amazingly, truly, generally, simply Most common adverbs in Spanish end in – mente (the Spanish equivalent of the English ending –ly) EXAMPLES: Verdaderamente  truly, really Generalmente  generally Simplemente  simply

Adverbs To form these “–ly” adverbs, add –mente to the feminine singular form of the adjective. NOTE: Adjectives will not lose their accents when adding –mente.

Adverbs: Seguro Fabuloso Enorme Fácil Segura Fabulosa Enorme Fácil -mente Seguramente Fabulosamente Enormemente Fácilmente

Location: Adverbs that end in –mente generally follow the verb, while adverbs that modify adjectives or another adverb go before the word they describe. Ejemplos: Maira dibuja maravillosamente. Sergio está casi siempre ocupado.

En el texto… Son las tres. Haz el inténtalo en página cuarenta con tu compañero.
