Indirect Object Pronouns What are indirect objects? What are IOPs? Where do IOPs go in a sentence?

What are indirect objects? Indirect objects are nouns that answer the questions “to whom?” and “for whom?” I give the ticket to Rosa. Who do I give the ticket to? He sings the song for me? Who does he sing the song for?

What are the IOPs Indirect Object Pronouns are… ME (to/for me) NOS (to/for us) TE (to/for you) OS (to/for you plural *Spain) LE (to/for him, her, it, you) LES (to/for them, you plural)

Where do the IOPs go? IOPs can accompany or replace the the noun. The IOP goes before the conjugated verb or attached to the infinitive Doy los boletos a Rosa. Le doy los boletos. Él canta la canción a mí. Me canta la canción.

Try these out… El pasajero da la tarjeta de embarque a la auxiliar de vuelo. El agente hace el itinerario para nosotros. El profesor enseña la lección a los estudiantes. Mis amigas dan su pasaporte al agente de la aduana. La agente confirma el vuelo para mí.
