Verb Conjugation!
All infinitive verbs in Spanish end in… -ar -er -ir
But when we put verbs in sentences, they could have any of the following endings: -ar verbs -er verbs -ir verbs -o -amos -as -áis -a -an -o -emos -es -éis -e -en -o -imos -es -ís -e -en
For example.. Bailar = to dance Yo bailo = I dance Ella baila = she dances
To conjugate a verb: Identify the subject Identify the verb Drop the last 2 letters (-ar, -er, or –ir) Identify the correct verb ending (use the charts) Add back the correct ending
Bailar = to dance Yo Nosotros Tú Vosotros Él, Ella, Ud. Ellos, Uds. bailo bailamos bailas bailáis baila bailan
Comer = to eat Yo Nosotros Tú Vosotros Él, Ella, Ud. Ellos, Uds. Como comemos comes coméis come comen
escribir = to write Yo Nosotros Tú Vosotros Él, Ella, Ud. Ellos, Uds. escribo escribimos escribes escribís escribe escriben
