2 SOME DEFINITIONS Conjugate: Putting a verb into all its forms.
EX: bailo,bailas baila bailamos, bailan como, comes, come, comemos, comen Vivo, vives, vive, vivimos, viven Infinitive: A verb in it’s original form.( before conjugation) EX: bailar, cantar beber , comer vivir, compartir

3 -AR Verbs You know the pattern of present-tense -ar verbs:

5 3 Types of Verbs There are 3 types of verbs:
Infinitives that end in -ar Infinitives that end in -er Infinitives that end in -ir

6 3 Types of Verbs You’ve already learned some -ar verbs, now you are going to learn some -er verbs.

7 Some -er Verbs Some -er verbs that you may already know are:
beber leer comer deber

8 The pattern for -er verbs is
much like the pattern for -ar verbs. The only difference is, instead of using “a” you use “e.”

9 Forms for regular ER verbs:
yo o nosotros emos nosotras tú es el ellos ella e ellas en Usted ustedes

10 Let’s try the verb “to eat,” in
Spanish, “comer.”

11 COMER – to eat Yo como Nosotros comemos Nosotras Tú comes Uds.

14 The pattern for -ir verbs is
the exact same pattern for -er verbs except for the nosotros form: instead of using “emos” you will use “imos.”
