Verb notes What does the “r” at the end of the verb add in English? to (Ej: camina = s/he walks, caminar = to walk) When you see the –r at the end of the verb, what form of the verb is that? Infinitive! Ej: cantar  to sing Don’t forget that we have to CONJUGATE infinitives to use them as verbs. Ej: La chica camina rápidamente. The girl walks fast.

How to conjugate? To conjugate the verb, start with the infinitive (verb with the ‘r’ on the end) Drop the ending (-ar, -er, or –ir) Add new ending (depending on who the subject is) Ej: infinitive: caminar Caminar – ar = camin Camin + a (ending for s/he) = camina Camina = s/he walks
