Imperfecto Progresivo
Used to describe something that was taking place over a period of time in the past. Uses the imperfect of “estar” + present participle Remember present participle is when you drop the “–ar” and add “–ando” or “er/ir” and add “–iendo”.
Imperfecto de Estar yo estaba nosotros estábamos tú estabas él ellos ella ellas estaban Ud. Uds.
Remember that ONLY “estar” changes with the subject Remember that ONLY “estar” changes with the subject. The present participle stays the same. Ejemplo: Tú estabas haciendo la tarea cuando tu madre entró
