2 The Imperfect Progressive
Use the imperfect tense form of the verb “estar” and the “ing” form of the 2nd verb(was __ing) estaba estábamos estabas estabais estaba estaban Reg. –ar ending verb stem + ando Ex. Estaba nadando Reg. er/ir ending Verb stem + iendo Ex. Estaba comiendo

3 Imperfect Progressive

This first group all add a “y” This group of irregulars are also stem changers and change from “e” to “i”. Creer becomes Creyendo Leer becomes Leyendo Ir becomes Yendo Destruir becomes Destruyendo Incluir becomes Incluyendo Oír becomes Oyendo Traer becomes Trayendo Caerse (a reflexive verb) becomes Cayéndose Pedir becomes Pidiendo Seguir becomes Siguiendo Conseguir becomes Consiguiendo Repetir becomes Repitiendo Servir becomes Sirviendo Sentir becomes Sintiendo Preferir becomes Prefiriendo Requerir becomes Requiriendo Venir becomes Viniendo Decir becomes Diciendo This next group of Spanish irregulars are stem changers and change from “o” to “u”. 6 Se venden refrescos en esa tienda. (They sell sodas in that store.)
El “se” impersonal-In English, we often use they, you, one or people in an impersonal or indefinite sense meaning “people in general.” In Spanish we use “se” + the Ud./él/ella or Uds./ellos/ellas form of the verb. Ex. Se habla español. (Spanish is spoken (here).) Se venden refrescos en esa tienda. (They sell sodas in that store.)

7 Irregular Preterit Tense Verb estar = to be
Follows the same pattern as tener estuve estuvimos estuviste estuvisteis estuvo estuvieron
