In English you would never say: “He walking.” or “She working.” You say: He’s walking. or He is walking. She’s working. or She is working. We do the same in Spanish: Never leave out the verb ESTAR ESTAR + -ando or -iendo

Here is where you will you use your basement verbs and I-Y’s. When forming the past participle of –ir stem changing verbs, the e in the infinitive becomes an i and the o becomes a u. 8 DOP Placement When you use object pronouns with present progressives, you can put them before a conjugated verb or attached to the present participle. If you attach the pronoun to the participle, you need an accent. Ejemplo: Me estás poniendo nervioso. Estás poniéndome nervioso.
